Workshops in Kilkis Primary Schools
Every year, 28x offers free, hands-on Robotics workshops to primary schools in the city of Kilkis. In recent years, Sokratis Dimitriadis, founder and instructor at 28x, has collaborated with 4 primary schools, volunteering more than 10 hours of teaching. These workshops introduce students to fundamental scientific concepts, such as electricity, through robotics using the BBC microbit. By combining theory with practical, interactive activities, the workshops help students understand concepts that are often difficult to grasp through traditional classroom instruction alone. To date, more than 150 students from the Municipality of Kilkis have benefited from this engaging learning experience.

Workshops at the Kilkis Public Central Library
28x has partnered on multiple occasions with the Kilkis Public Central Library to offer free, hands-on Robotics workshops for children. Sokratis Dimitriadis, founder and instructor at 28x, has volunteered more than 5 hours of teaching, introducing children aged 6 to 13 to programming and robotics using the BBC micro:bit. Through these interactive workshops, more than 40 children from the Municipality of Kilkis have explored fundamental robotics concepts, including coding, sensors, and electronic components. They also had the opportunity to use the Library's computer facilities to connect to Microsoft's programming platform and program real robotic devices.

Workshops at the 1st General High School of Kilkis
For two consecutive years, 28x has collaborated with the 1st General High School of Kilkis as part of the ERASMUS+ KA210 project, "Energy Boat Challenge – Sustainable Development Conception of an Electric Boat." Sokratis Dimitriadis designed and delivered two 2-hour Robotics workshops in English, introducing approximately 16 Greek and French students, together with their teachers, to the use and programming of Arduino microcontrollers.
During the first year, participants learned how to connect and program potentiometers and servo motors using Tinkercad and the Arduino IDE, before putting their knowledge into practice with real electronic components.
In the second year, the workshops focused on brushless motors, exploring how they differ from conventional DC motors, their applications in robotics projects, and how to program and operate them in real-world scenarios.
